Ujjivan SFB Appoints Pankaj Gupta as Chief Digital Officer

Pankaj Gupta will report to Sanjeev Nautiyal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank.

Ujjivan Small Finance Bank (USFB) has announced the appointment of a new Chief Digital Officer (CDO). Pankaj Gupta, formerly Chief Digital & Marketing Officer at Karnataka Bank, will replace Sriram Srinivasan at the small finance bank. 

In an exchange filing, USFB said, “We hereby inform you that Mr. Pankaj Gupta (Senior Management Personnel) has joined as the Chief Digital Officer of the bank with effect from February 17, 2026.” 

Speaking exclusively to FE FUTECH on his mandate as CDO, Gupta said, “Setting up various digital rails to enhance revenue-generation avenues for Ujjivan Small Finance Bank is my immediate priority. Additionally, we will look at frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence to improve operational and overall organisational effectiveness.” 

Pankaj Gupta will report to Sanjeev Nautiyal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank. 

Gupta is a transformation leader with over 30 years of cross-functional experience across IT, cloud, data centre (DC), applications and managed services, telecom services, and digital and analytics services. He led a holistic digital transformation at Karnataka Bank and was instrumental in creating its Digital and Analytics Centres of Excellence.

Prior to Karnataka Bank, he held leadership roles at Sify Technologies, HCL Services, Wipro Infotech, Acer India and Godrej Pacific Technology. Gupta holds a PG Diploma in Marketing with International Business from NMIMS, Mumbai and B.E in Electronics & Communications from MREC Jaipur.
