KISNA Diamond and Gold Jewellery, the flagship brand of the Hari Krishna Group, has announced the appointment of Nitin Naik as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He will lead KISNA’s technology function across digital commerce, retail systems, supply chain integration and data infrastructure. Naik will directly report to the CEO Parag Shah.

He will work closely with business and operations teams to build scalable platforms, enhance customer experience and enable seamless online-offline operations.

Immediate Priorities

Speaking exclusively with FE FUTECH on the IT projects currently underway at the company Naik said one of the immediate priorities is strengthening the core technology backbone to support KISNA’s next phase of growth, “We have several IT transformation projects underway focused on upgrading key business applications, simplifying processes, and significantly improving user experience across teams and partners. Alongside this, we’re working on strategic initiatives to modernise our technology landscape and reinforce our infrastructure, with clear emphasis on performance, scalability, and security.

All of these efforts are closely aligned with Kisna’s larger vision of using technology as a growth enabler and efficiency driver. In parallel, we have also begun rolling out AI-driven initiatives to further support business expansion and smarter decision-making,” he said.

What Transpired In The Interview?

When asked about the interview with the top management at KISNA Diamond and Gold Jewellery Naik said, “It was a great experience talking to the leadership team at Kisna where they apprised me about their business and core strengths as well as their vision for the future. A significant part of the discussion focused on my experience in managing large, multi geography and multi domain engagements, and how those learnings could be applied at KISNA to drive new IT initiatives and support the brand’s growth journey.

Artificial intelligence was also an important area of conversation, where we spoke about my prior experience with AI and explored potential use cases for its application within the jewellery business.”

Past Achievements

He brings over 25 years of experience in enterprise technology, global delivery and cybersecurity. He has spent most of his career at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), leading large transformation programs in multiple domains across global markets. Most recently, as Delivery Head – Cybersecurity, he led end-to-end cybersecurity service delivery for growth markets and global public sector and education clients, overseeing governance, financial performance and strategic client engagement.

Naik highlighting the successful initiatives in his past stint said, “In my previous role, I led large scale transformation initiatives across geographies, modernising platforms to improve agility and enable data driven decision making. A strong focus on automation, optimised delivery models, and disciplined financial governance helped improve both profitability and operational efficiency across portfolios.

I also positioned cybersecurity as a business enabler, strengthening enterprise resilience, regulatory alignment, and risk governance across global operations. Alongside this, I built strategic partnerships with C suite stakeholders and clients, translating business priorities into clear technology roadmaps that delivered measurable outcomes.

To ensure long term impact, I institutionalised governance, quality, and performance frameworks that enhanced predictability, client confidence, and engagement value, while driving the adoption of emerging technologies and Centres of Excellence to support sustained digital innovation and competitive differentiation.”

Parag Shah, CEO, KISNA Diamond and Gold Jewellery, said, “KISNA is scaling rapidly across markets, formats and consumer segments. Technology will be central to sustaining this growth. From retail integration to omnichannel execution, we are building platforms that enable speed and consistency at scale. Nitin’s appointment strengthens our ability to drive this transformation with sharper focus.”

The appointment comes amid strong growth momentum at KISNA. Over the past year, the brand has strengthened its leadership team with key appointments across finance and marketing, expanded its offline retail footprint across franchise and exclusive showroom formats, and scaled its Mumbai corporate office to support rising operational and network expansion.
