Greenply Industries Appoints Kunal Handa as CIO, Designates Him as SMP

Greenply Industries has approved the appointment of its new chief information officer (CIO). Kunal Handa, the erstwhile Head of IT at Eureka Forbes, will take over the position effective March 13, 2026. He is also designated as Senior Management Personnel (SMP) and will report to Manoj Tulsian, Joint Managing Director & CEO at Greenply Industries.

“It was a free-flowing conversation. A good part of the discussion was about AI,” Handa told FE FUTECH when asked how artificial intelligence featured in his pre-appointment discussions with the company leadership.

Greenply Industries, in a filing to the exchanges, said, “We hereby inform that the board of directors of Greenply Industries, through circular resolution passed on March 11, 2026, have approved the appointment of Mr. Kunal Handa as chief information officer and senior management personnel (SMP) of the company with effect from March 13, 2026, based on the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee of the company.”

Highlighting the technology initiatives undertaken during his over two-year stint at Eureka Forbes, Handa said, “I anchored the digital transformation initiatives including launching of various online channels like the web app, mobile app, etc for the e-commerce and quick commerce platforms.”

Originally from Delhi, he is currently based in Mumbai. Handa has experience in enterprise technology platforms including SAP HANA, warehouse management systems (WMS), transport management systems (TMS), and data analytics solutions such as CFO and CEO dashboards using Power BI, along with low-code and no-code platforms.

At Eureka Forbes, he has partnered closely with the sales and operations teams to deploy service technician application and CRM solutions, enhancing service efficiency and customer engagement. He was also part of the core team that developed the One Retail platform, integrating salesforce automation (SFA), distributor management system (DMS), and ISP applications, enabling end-to-end sales visibility, improved workforce productivity, and better data-driven decision-making.
